Research4COVID-19 project "Track and Trace COVID-19" approved

Carla Cruz team was awarded with 28,700€ in the recent call for projects Research4COVID-19 funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and Agência de Investigação Clínica e Inovação Biomédica (AICIB). The project entitled "Track and Trace COVID-19" aims at developing a rapid diagnostic method for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, which can function as a faster and more effective alternative to classic PCR methods. The project has the collaboration of several healthcare institutions and municipalities within the Cova da Beira region, and was ranked first place amongst 302 proposals with the highest classification of 4.9 (out of 5).
