Aviso N.º 01-2021 - Projeto Prova Conceito (CENTRO 2020)

PAPILOMA - Vaginal gel for topical application in precancerous lesions caused by caused by human papillomavirus.

G4 team was awarded 148k € for a new project supported by PO CENTRO 2020.

This project aims to: 1 - develop a topical application product for the treatment of high- and low-grade lesions caused by HPV; 2 - characterize the quality and stability of the prototype; 3 - characterize the antiviral activity of the product; 4 - characterize the in vivo safety profile and efficacy; 5 - test the prototype in human samples; 6 - design and study of the prototype package; 7 - demonstrate the product scale-up.

All of these features will be supported by the collaboration of the Universities of Beira Interior and Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, the company HPRD - Health Products Research and Development, Lda and the association PIEP - Innovation in Polymer Engineering that have all the expertise and knowledge required to complete all the milestones of this project.
